Online Dating Tips:
What are the 3 main things men look for in an online dating profile?
1) Photos are the Most Important in Online Dating Profile
Men are very visual, so it’s important to put up the best current photos of yourself and you should post at least 3 photos.
Here’s a few photo tips for your online dating profile:
The main photo should be your head shot of you smiling. It has to close up enough, because when it shows up in the search results it’s a small thumbnail.
Then have a photo of a casual action shot of some activity that you enjoy doing. Something that tells more of the story of who you are and what you like to do.
And the last photo, should be you in a dressy outfit. You want to show a man that you can be casual, but also get dressed up and look good.
Now, if you were thinking of posting that picture of you in a bathing suit, it’s a bad idea! You will be sending the wrong message and all a man will think about is, how can I get her in bed. Just remember, a little mystery goes a long way.
And lastly, if you don’t have a photo up, then don’t bother. Very few men will contact a woman without a photo.
2) A Positively Written Online Dating Profile
Just remember your online dating profile is an ad for you. So, it’s important to come across as positive about yourself and what you like to do.
Men don’t like women who are negative in their online dating profile, it sends up a red flag. So, if you write something like, “If you’re the type of man that is…., then don’t bother contacting me.” Because not only will that type of man not contact you, neither will any other man, because he will see you as ‘Negative Nancy’.
3) Clearly Articulate Who You Are & What You’re Looking For
He has to get a good idea of the type of person you are and if he would like to get to know you better. That’s what is going to make him want to reach out and contact you. It’s important not write too much or too little, it should be just enough, so he gets a sense of who you are.
And please don’t lie about your age, you’re sending out the wrong message. It says your insecure with yourself and at some point if the relationship gets serious, you’re going to have to tell him, which will be more uncomfortable.
What should you do, if you’re not getting responses?
Make sure you have the above checklist. And just remember, it’s important to mention interests, it gives a man something to contact you about.
How can a woman contact a man without seeming too desperate?
Don’t respond to a man who just winks out you, because he’s not really making an effort, however it’s fine for a woman to wink at a man without seeming too forward.
Or you can just write a short email about his profile and mention something you were both have in common and ask a question.
Truthfully, all a man wants to know, is that you’re interested and then let him take it from there.
If he doesn’t respond don’t take it personally, there a plenty of men out on an online dating site.
